North Korean anniversary parade full of colour but without any intercontinental missiles

In June, Trump claimed "North Korea is no longer a Nuclear Threat" following a historic summit with the nation's leader.

Robert E Kelly, professor of political science at Pusan National University in South Korea, was responding to two tweets by the U.S. president in which he claimed credit for the absence of nuclear missiles in North Korea's 70th anniversary parade.

Later on Sunday, the celebrations will continue with the opening of what are known as North Korea's Mass Games, a synchronized display of gymnastics and dance performed by tens of thousands of people working in unison.

Mr Trump thanked "Chairman Kim" and said: "There is nothing like good dialogue from two people that like each other".

According to footage broadcast from the scene by worldwide TV news crews, no Intercontinental Ballistic Missiles were on display - a concession nearly certainly aimed at the United States.

I just feel like not only is my future bright, even though I'm not a spring chicken, but I still have a very, very bright future. He also said everyone does it and usually is not called for it. "To lose a game for saying that is not fair", Williams said.

Kim observed the event along with Chinese leader Xi Jinping's envoy Li Zhanshu, but he did not deliver a speech to the public.

Mr Li also said his visit aims to implement the important consensus between Mr Xi and Mr Kim, enhance high-level strategic communication, carry out friendly exchanges in various fields and have in-depth exchanges of views on further development of the traditional friendship so as to create a better future for the China-North Korea ties, Xinhua reported.

The event also underlined the importance that Pyongyang is attaching to economic development.

They support North Korea's denuclearisation and abide by global sanctions against Pyongyang, but have rejected Trump's threats of military action made previous year.

The parade came at a sensitive time as the United States and South Korea try to engage the North in a process they hope will eventually lead to it giving up its nuclear arsenal.

Later after recovering his accounts, Shahid Kapoor posted a message for his fans: "Hey guys, thank you for the wonderful wishes". An elated grandfather said that now Shahid's family was complete. "It's the most delightful thing that can happen to any family.

Other floats called for the reunification of the Korean peninsula - a theme that ran throughout the Olympics in South Korea earlier this year, where an envoy from the North including Kim's sister Kim Yo Jong met with South Korean president Moon Jae-in.

At one point jets trailing red, white and blue smoke - the colours of the North Korean flag - roared above the Juche Tower, the stone monument to Kim Il Sung's political philosophy.

The third-highest ranking Chinese official was in Pyongyang to attend a massive parade the following day marking the North's 70th founding anniversary. The games are a grand spectacle that features almost 20,000 people flipping placards in unison to create huge mosaics as thousands more perform gymnastics or dance in formation on the competition area of Pyongyang's 150,000-seat May Day Stadium. Gen. Michael Minihan, who is chief of staff for United Nations Command and U.S. Forces Korea, and North Korean Lt. Gen. Washington wants Kim to commit to denuclearisation first, but Pyongyang wants its security guaranteed and a peace agreement formally ending the Korean War.

With tensions once again on the rise, a parade featuring the very missiles that so unnerved Trump past year, and led to a risky volley of insults from both leaders, could be seen as a deliberate provocation. He claims to have perfected his nuclear arsenal enough to deter US aggression and devote his resources to raising his nation's standard of living.

The worldwide coalition, which includes military ships from the U.S., UK, France, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, and South Korea, has already been patrolling the waters for several months, but there is now an effort to "go active", according to one senior USA official, meaning the coalition would begin to publicly denounce individuals who violate the sanctions at sea.

US, India Ink Deal to Expand Defense Ties
The move is expected to further facilitate India-US trade and technology collaboration in defence and high technology areas. The US has signed similar pacts with less than 30 other countries, the report added, citing a senior US defence official.
